Sean David Johnson is a TV Executive and Showrunner with more than fifteen years of experience developing and producing some of cable television’s most popular programs. He has worked within a diverse array of genres including Reality, Comedy, News, Pop Culture, Digital and Live Studio.

Most recently Sean served as Executive Producer and Showrunner on E!’s comedic reality series, New Money. In addition to fully developing the concept of the series he also oversaw pre-production, field shoots and post-production. Sean’s additional work in Reality TV includes serving as Co-Executive Producer of Season 3 of VH1’s Love & Hip Hop. With a cast of thirteen, Sean supervised story arcs, prepped talent for vérité scenes and conducted green screen ‘confessional’ interviews. Drawing on his storytelling skills and cast rapport, he produced the two highly rated specials Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta: Dirty Little Secrets and 40 Greatest Love & Hip Hop Moments. Sean also supervised a series of special episodes of TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta.

Sean spent ten years as an executive at VH1 where he created, developed and produced some of the network’s most buzzworthy and successful pop culture programming. As executive producer of Best Week Ever, he cast the talent, managed a staff of thirty-five and oversaw all aspects of the show. Sean also produced I Love the 80s as well as a number of music-focused programming.

Throughout his career Sean has specialized in launching hit series, developing innovative pilots and producing attention-grabbing specials. He has contributed his creativity, dedication and collaborative spirit to additional networks including BBC America, Fuse, Fox News Channel, PBS and CBS. No matter the type of show, Sean consistently brings the creative vision and team building skills necessary to create content that always finds and engages the intended audience.
